This is the question we get most: "Does Boomer Comms replace my WhatsApp Business app?" The short answer is no, and that is deliberate.
Boomer Comms and the WhatsApp Business app are not competitors. They are good at different things, and thanks to Meta Coexistence they run on the same number, side by side. So you do not have to choose. The trick is knowing what to do where.
The main misunderstanding
Many people expect Boomer Comms to do everything the WhatsApp app does, plus extras. It does not, and that is not a shortcoming. The WhatsApp Business app is made for individual, personal conversations from one phone. Boomer Comms is built to reach your entire flex pool personally, at scale, with AI and an overview.
Think of them as two tools in the same toolbox. A hammer does not replace a screwdriver. Together they get the job done.
What the WhatsApp Business app is good at
Keep using the app for:
- Messaging someone on the spur of the moment. A quick note to one person, from your phone.
- The familiar feel. Voice notes, photos, emoji, everything you are used to, the way you are used to it.
- One-off individual conversations. Sorting something out with a single worker, without it involving the whole pool.
What Boomer Comms is good at
Reach for Boomer as soon as it involves more than one person or more than one exchange:
- Reaching your whole pool personally. Hundreds or thousands of workers at once, each with their own message, not through a group.
- Filling shifts and inviting people. Who is available for Saturday, who confirmed, who you still need to reach, in one overview.
